Rep. Himes announces $14.2 million in federal grants to Greenwich and Bridgeport hospitals to assist in the cost of COVID-19 response
Today, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04) announced Bridgeport Hospital and Greenwich Hospital will be awarded $14,212,698 in grant funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The $5,111,679 to Bridgeport Hospital and $9,101,398 to Greenwich Hospital will reimburse the costs accrued from the emergency response to COVID-19, including expenses for PPE equipment, testing centers, medical equipment, and increased staff presence.
