Connecticut's Fourth District is comprised of seventeen towns and cities in the southwestern portion of the state. The Fourth District covers most of Fairfield County and some of New Haven County. You can find both a list of the towns in the district and a map below.

The Fourth District is home to a remarkably diverse range of people, who live in large  cities, rural enclaves and suburban New England towns alike. Its economy is similarly diverse; the Fourth District is home to companies of every imaginable size. Seven of the towns I represent lie on the beautiful coast of Long Island Sound. There are scenic beaches and parks throughout the district and wonderful sights and attractions to visit as well, ranging from historic Weir Farm and the Philip Johnson Glass House to the Beardsley Zoo and Maritime Aquarium

The district is densely populated along the coast, where Interstate 95 and the New Haven line of the Metro-North railroad allow hundreds of thousands of people to commute daily. The Merritt Parkway is another heavily-traveled highway traversing the district further inland. Metro-North serves inland towns as well, making stops along the Danbury and New Canaan lines, while Amtrak also serves the coastal towns along the Northeast Corridor.

In addition to the K–12 schools of the district's towns and cities, which include some of the top-ranked school systems in the nation, there are several universities in the Fourth District, including the University of Bridgeport, Fairfield University, Norwalk and Housatonic Community Colleges, St. Vincent's College, Sacred Heart University and the Stamford branch of the University of Connecticut.

I invite you to visit the Fourth District and plan a day trip to one of the many sights in the district I am proud to represent.

Census Facts

The U.S. Census Bureau compiles statistics about each Congressional district, and compares them to national averages. The data for my district gives some insight into the economic, housing and social characteristics of the population, along with demographic statistics.
