WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Jim Himes and Oxford First Selectwoman Mary Ann Drayton-Rogers today announced an $861,240 grant from the Department of Transportation to fund the construction of a new taxiway at Waterbury-Oxford Municipal Airport. The pair announced the grant after a meeting to discuss the local impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Stamford, CT –U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Congressman Jim Himes today met with the Business Council of Fairfield County to discuss the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which President Obama signed into law yesterday. The bill is expected to create over 40,000 jobs in Connecticut and help lead businesses and communities toward long-term economic prosperity.
