I have just finished a raucous week of town hall meetings on health care reform. I listened to support and opposition, to new ideas, to all manner of issues and concerns. I got my fair share of applause and catcalls and heard some language we discourage in our homes and schools.
Due to safety concerns and a desire to accommodate the significant interest demonstrated at his health care events earlier this week, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) will move TONIGHT’s health care town hall meeting in Bridgeport to the Klein Memorial Auditorium. While the previous location would only facilitate 500 participants, Klein seats an audience of over 1,300.
In response to concerns over disrupting previously scheduled events at City Hall and in the interest of gathering input from as many constituents as possible, Congressman Jim Himes will move his town hall meeting on health care reform, scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, to the Norwalk High School Auditorium.
