Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) released the following statement regarding the death of two Bridgeport firefighters:
“My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of Lt. Steven Velazquez and Firefighter Michel Baik. These brave men gave everything to make this city a better, safer place. At this enormously difficult time, I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to their families, their brother and sister firefighters, and to the city of Bridgeport.”
