WASHINGTON, DC –This weekend Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) met with local students he nominated who will attend United States Service Academies this fall. The students and their families joined him for lunch at the Westport VFW on Saturday.
“These students are making a brave commitment to service and a smart commitment to their education,” said Himes. “Congratulations to these future leaders on a bright future.”
The seven students below have been accepted into the Naval Academy, West Point, or the Air Force Academy. A panel of local leaders worked with the Congressman to select students for nomination to the academies.
