WASHINGTON, DC--Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) released the following statement in response to final passage of the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act.
“There have been few events in our nation’s history as traumatic as the attacks we suffered on September 11, 2001, and we owe the brave responders who voluntarily risked their lives at Ground Zero the help of a grateful nation. I’m glad this partisanship is behind us and we are finally paying these patriots their due respect and providing the appropriate assistance for injuries they suffered helping us.”
