Community Project Funding

To meet the needs of communities across the United States, the Appropriations Committee will again be accepting Community Project Funding requests from Members of Congress for the fiscal year 2025 (FY25) appropriations package. This is in addition to the standard programmatic and language-based requests. Each Member of Congress is limited to no more than 15 CPF requests across all subcommittees for FY25 and there is no guarantee that all requested projects will be funded. The FY25 CPF process has a limited scope with eligible accounts restricted to those listed below. The Committee will limit Community Project Funding to no more than 1 percent of discretionary spending. Please note that my office will put a very high premium on demonstrated ability to rapidly deploy funds and selecting shovel-ready projects.

Please note:

1. All projects must meet the relevant statutory and administrative criteria for funding through the grant program under which they are submitted.
2. A request submitted to Congressman Himes does NOT guarantee the project will be selected.
3. The selection of a project does NOT guarantee it will be funded by the Appropriations Committee.
4. Please submit your project requests to Congressman Himes for the Fiscal Year 2025 process by April 30th, 2024 at 5:00pm ET.
