This week, the House is expected to consider two bills, ranging from emergency response to the budget.

Legislation under consideration this week includes:

Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Reauthorization Act of 2013 (H.R. 307): reauthorizes and modifies medical disaster and emergency response programs facilitating the development of chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear medical countermeasures. It also creates a 15-member interagency National Advisory Committee on Children and Disasters and provides for the redeployment of federally funded personnel during an emergency.

H.R. 325: raises the debt limit enough to allow continued financing of government operations through May 18, 2013. It also withholds Members’ salaries if a budget is not passed for Fiscal Year 2014 by April 15, 2013.
