H.R. 1791: designates the United States courthouse under construction at 101 South United States Route 1 in Fort Pierce, Florida, as the "Alto Lee Adams, Sr., United States Courthouse.”
H.R. 588: renames the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge as the Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge .
H.R. 2079: designates post office located at 10 Main Street in East Rockaway, New York, as the “John J. Cook Post Office.”
H.R. 3004: designates the post office located at 260 California Drive in Yountville, California, as the “Private First Class Alejandro R. Ruiz Post Office Building.”
S. 1412: designates the post office located at 462 Washington Street, Woburn, Massachusetts, as the “Officer John Maguire Post Office.”
H.R. 298: designates the post office located at 500 East Whitestone Boulevard in Cedar Park, Texas, as the “Army Specialist Matthew Troy Morris Post Office Building.”
H.R. 2422: designates post office located at 45 Bay Street, Suite 2, in Staten Island, New York, as the “Sergeant Angel Mendez Post Office.”
H.R. 2660: designates the post office located at 122 North Holderrieth Boulevard in Tomball, Texas, as the “Tomball Veterans Post Office.”
H.R. 2415: designates the post office located at 11 Dock Street in Pittston, Pennsylvania, as the “Trooper Joshua D. Miller Post Office Building.”
Senate Amendment to (H.R. 674): amends the Internal Revenue Code to repeal the 3% withholding requirement on payments due to vendors providing services to federal, state, and local governmental entities. This bill passed the House earlier this month but the Senate amended version contains additional provisions to help unemployed veterans.
Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2011 (H.R. 2838): authorizes appropriations for FY2012-FY2014 for the Coast Guard’s operation and maintenance; acquisition, construction, rebuilding and improvement of navigation aids and related equipment; Reserve program; environmental compliance; and Commandant for research, development, testing and evaluation of new technologies to improve the performance of the Coast Guard.
National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011 (H.R. 822): amends the federal criminal code to allow a person with a government-issued ID and a permit to carry a concealed firearm in one state, to carry that firearm across state lines regardless of the other state’s laws concerning concealed carry.
Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2012 (H.R. 2112): appropriates FY2012 funding for Department of Agriculture programs and services including the Food and Drug Administration, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Food and Nutrition Service, and many other agencies and programs.
H.J.Res. 2: proposes a balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution. This amendment prohibits Congress from spending more than it takes in unless Congress authorizes it by a three-fifths vote. It also requires a three-fifths vote to increase the debt ceiling, orders the president to submit a balanced budget to Congress each year, and requires any bill that would raise revenue to be approved by both chambers.
