When Congress is not in session, I ride the train back to Connecticut for the District Work Period, meeting with constituents and learning more about the businesses, non-profits, and schools of southwestern Connecticut.

So far in March, a few of my trips have taken me to schools in Norwalk and Westport, two art openings in Stamford, an Eagle scout ceremony in Westport, and a St. Patrick's Day dinner.  I visited a small business in Southport, met with constituents in both district offices, welcomed a new postmaster to Stamford, and ridden my bike with 26 other cyclists from Newtown to Ridgefield as part of Team 26's ride from Sandy Hook to Washington, DC.
