Stamford, Connecticut— Today, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04) issued the followed statement celebrating the news that the U.S. Navy awarded Connecticut-based Sikorsky a $2.7 billion contract to build 35 CH-53K helicopters.
“Sikorsky has long been a leader in manufacturing for the U.S. military. I am glad that they are extending that partnership with an expansive new contract. This $2.7 billion investment will ensure that Sikorsky remains competitive in their industry and create new jobs for Connecticut’s Fourth District.”
