Review Rep. Himes' Disaster Resource and Recovery Guide For More Information
President Biden approved Governor Lamont’s request to declare a major disaster for the State of Connecticut and several counties due to damage caused by Hurricane Ida. Fairfield County residents with uninsured losses from Hurricane Ida may be eligible to get certain expenses covered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
My office has compiled a Disaster Resource and Recovery Guide. I hope you’ll find this guide helpful to answer your questions about the resources that may be available if you were affected by Hurricane Ida.

If you think you may qualify for any of the FEMA programs listed in the guide, click here to apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance. If you think you may qualify for the SBA programs listed in the guide, click here to apply for SBA Disaster Loan Assistance.
Fairfield County towns and cities may also receive assistance through FEMA’s Public Assistance program, which assists municipalities with costs of such as debris removal and emergency protective measures.
As always, please do not hesitate to call my office if you need any additional assistance at (203) 333-6600.
Sincerely,
Jim
