On Friday, I had the opportunity to participate in the Reach Out and Read program at the Stamford Community Health Center. Reach Out and Read is a program that encourages parents to read aloud and give developmentally-appropriate books to their children. I joined the effort by reading to a group of children and meeting with health center staff.
The most valuable thing we can give to our children is a good education, and that begins at home. As a father myself, I know how important it is that parents get involved in their children’s growth and development. This event was a special opportunity to connect with children of the Fourth District.
