Last Thursday, I had the honor of presenting the Civil Air Patrol’s highest cadet honor, the General Carl Spaatz award, to Cadet Colonel Andrew Collins of Easton. Cadet Colonel Collins’ achievement is extraordinary – a mere 0.2% of CAP cadets earn the Spatz award by demonstrating “excellence in leadership, character, fitness, and aerospace education.” On average, it takes cadets five years to complete its requirements.
Recognizing the commitment and service of young men and women like Cadet Colonel Collins is among the most rewarding aspects of my work as a Congressman. I am extremely grateful to all those who serve in uniform and all those who serve the communities of the fourth district.
