Bridgeport, CT–Continuing his effort to ensure he is accessible to all of his constituents, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) will launch a project titled 17 Towns in 17 Days with a business walk in Westport on Tuesday August 24th.. Over the next 17 days, Himes will visit every town in the district, highlighting each community’s unique strengths and gathering input from individuals in every city and town.

Over the course of the last 20 months, Himes has held over 2 dozen town hall meetings, met with elected officials from every city and town, and actively solicited input from constituents throughout the district through email surveys, Congress on Your Corner events, and meetings with local organizations and individuals.

This week, Himes will visit Westport, Norwalk, Bridgeport, Wilton, and Shelton. The remaining events for 17 Towns in 17 Days will be released later this week.
 
Westport Business Walk
Himes will visit businesses in Westport along with First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.

Norwalk Senior Center South (in Spanish)
Himes will visit with seniors at the Norwalk Senior Center South where he will hold a Q&A in Spanish and English. He will reaffirm his support for protecting Social Security from privatization, discuss improvements to Medicare resulting from health care reform, and take questions from participants.

Park City Primary Care Ribbon Cutting in Bridgeport
Himes will speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new extension of the Park City Primary Care Center. Himes helped secure federal funds for an addition to the health center, which includes 10 new exam rooms and a new kitchen.
