STAMFORD, CT – Injured Haitians desperately in need of medical treatment will soon have advanced technology available to the medical professionals providing their care.  Through a partnership of Stamford Hospital, FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA (Fujifilm), and AmeriCares, a portable digital x-ray system is being donated to the Haitian relief effort and will be sent to a hospital

STAMFORD, CT—Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) joined the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) in Stamford today to highlight how new federal investment will assist the center in creating jobs and helping women entrepreneurs. The funding, secured by Himes and WBDC through the appropriations process, will be used by the center to expand their services to more businesses.

WASHINGTON, DC—Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) voted today to give final approval to legislation that will begin to close the gender pay gap by reversing a Supreme Court decision that has kept women from pursuing pay discrimination claims. This bill now goes to President Obama and will likely be the first major piece of legislation he signs into law.
