17 Towns in 17 Days
BRIDGEPORT, CT – Congressman Jim Himes (CT-4) will begin his 17 Towns in 17 Days Tour today in Ridgefield. Over the next 17 days, he will visit every town in the Fourth District, gathering input from constituents and highlighting the district’s residents, businesses, organizations, and natural resources.
“From thriving businesses in Shelton and Stamford to peaceful nature preserves in New Canaan and Easton, our district is beautiful and diverse,” said Himes. “Hearing from my constituents makes me a better representative, and I look forward to gathering input from residents in every town.”
Ridgefield on July 27
Himes will visit Books on the Common for its “Where’s Waldo?” event where children will visit local businesses to find Waldo figurines hidden around town. The nationwide event celebrates the 25th anniversary of the fist “Where’s Waldo” book. It is organized by Candlewick Press, the American Booksellers Association, and 250 independent bookstores across the country.

Himes will visit the Aspetuck Land Trust’s popular 1,009 acre Trout Brook Valley preserve, which was saved from development by the Land Trust in 1999. The Aspetuck Land Trust is one of the oldest land trusts in the state and includes 44 trailed nature preserves in Westport, Weston, Fairfield, and Easton.
